Social Media Workshops & Surgeries near you in Cumbria - October 2012
Would you like new ways to communicate with groups and communities?
Do you want to find and try out different ways to reach your members and volunteers?
Have you read about Facebook and Twitter or the many new social media websites, but not known how they can apply to your group?
If you are a volunteer, or member of a local group then this workshop is for YOU!
Good use of social media offers ways to strengthen the work of local groups, the way organisations reach volunteers and how they help communities network and campaign more effectively.
By not considering use of this technology are you missing out on a valuable new way to reach your communities?
By attending this workshop you will be able to:
- See how others use social media so you can place it in the context of your own group,
- Explore how to develop a social media plan and guidelines for responsible use,
- Gain knowledge about a wide range of current social media tools available,
- Try out the websites in a practical social media surgery, to help build confidence in use of social media websites and show how you can use the tools to benefit your group.
Free places, refreshments will be provided.
